Colette Gee--Leukemia Survivor & Thriver--Reaching Out to YOU!

I have survived Leukemia and a Bone Marrow Transplant. This is my third year with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training...I'm very proud of my accomplishments and appreciative of the many supporters! I started training for the Honolulu Marathon in 2000 when my legs where still weak. I was continuing to recover from complications that were a result of the bone marrow transplant I had in 1995. I crossed the finish line at the marathon after walking 26.2 miles! I grew stronger, and I raised $4,400 for this worthy cause! I was determined to make a difference with my second life, and was eager to help others experiencing similar hardships. I have mourned the loss of many friends throughout my journey, and will continue to fundraise for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help improve the lives of those who are currently battling cancer. I rode my bike 100 miles last year with the TNT, and will ride another 100 on June 2, 2002. I am reaching out to YOU for help in finding a cure...and TOGETHER WE CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS!
